LIGHT - REFLECTION AND REFRACTION


Light – an energy, which helps to see objects.

Ray - single light propagation

Reflection – process of sending back light

Refraction – process of bending of light when light changes medium

Medium – the arrangement (in which substances are equi-spaced or absent) in which light can travel 

Propagation – travelling of anything is called propagation of that thing

Transparent – through which we can see

Opaque - through which we cannot see

Optical - of light

Rare – more gap between particles

Denser – lesser gap in particles

Normal – Perpendicular (anything at 90˚)

Plane – 2 dimensional surfaces

Medium separating surface – the surface where two different mediums meets

Gradually – slowly

Virtual – not real

Real - actual

Erect – head is upside

Inverted – head is downside

Magnification – how many times image formed is larger or smaller than object
